Kelly & Michael: Watching Through Phones
Kelly talked about people filming them on their phones while they were walking out. She wanted to know if they were living in the moment or watching through their phones. They said both. She said that’s what her daughter says. Then they get to relive the moment later.
Kelly & Michael: US World Cup Loss

The US lost the World Cup. Michael was very upset. He went to the Ainsworth to watch it yesterday. It was packed and everybody was screaming. You try to act cool and nonchalant, but you soon start screaming and cheering. It was a really back and forth game and Michael was confused. They talked about extra time and how the energy level went up. Nobody knows how much extra time there is. How do you know when to give up? They didn’t give up though. They fought.
Tim Howard did an incredible job. Michael is friends with him. He got 16 saves and beat a record from 1966. Kelly said she hopes that people keep watching the World Cup. Michael had said that nobody’s going to watch if America doesn’t win the other day, but people should. Michael said he’s going to. He started watching other countries and picking and rooting for them. He became a fan through the World Cup and growing up in Germany, but he never played because it was too much running. These have been some of the most exciting matches. Michael wants to see who wins
Kelly & Michael: World Cup Commercials
Kelly said the World Cup commercials are the best. There was one with all these women in labor and the doctor asks what was going on six months ago, and you see the World Cup and the women look over at the men.
Kelly & Michael: Rafael Nadal Wimbledon Loss
Wimbledon’s also happening, but nobody’s talking about it. A teenager ranked 144th toppled Rafael Nadal. Michael saw that, but thought it was a misprint. Gelman plays tennis and said you can have a bad day while another person is having a good day, but Kelly thought that he just wasn’t focusing on this person because he was thinking about upcoming matches.
Everyone’s after you when you’re on top, and anybody can win. The 19-year-old was very happy. They showed a picture. He might be done after this because this was his shining moment.
Kelly & Michael: Serena Williams Sick
Serena Williams also has a stomach virus. Michael said that it’s scary to watch. Kelly talked about how fit she is. She’s so fit. Kelly knows her coach. She’s a real competitor and a lot goes into that. She’s been on the show before.
