Kelly & Michael: Independence Day Attire
Happy Fourth of July! Kelly & Michael came out in matching American Flag onesies today for the Fourth of July and the studio was all decked out. And they just kept adding to it. Michael said that the staff member who was getting the audience ready hadn’t seen his and Kelly’s outfits yet and was in shock when they came out, but it was the Fourth of July party they had to do it right. The outfits were also weatherized of for winter, so Kelly said it was really hot in there.

They also talked about how throughout the show members of the audience would face off as a part of the Independence Day games for their Fourth of July party. The winners of each challenge will get a $500 gift card to Ikea as well as an Independence Day Game trophy. Michael said he didn’t have any snacks backstage because Gelman went all out for the trophy. It was going to be a really fun day.
Kelly & Michael: Scott Conant Check In
Kelly & Michael talked about how Amy Brenneman and Caroline Rhea would be on the show later, but they would also continue with the Superstar Chefs Farm-To-Table Challenge. Each week a chef has been incorporating a different farm-to-table ingredient. You can also be a part of the challenge by taking a food selfie of you and the dish each week for a chance to win a $500 gift card to Omaha Steaks. The best food selfie of the summer will win a trip to New York to see Live! With Kelly & Michael in person, and the chef to get the most food selifes will win the challenge trophy.
You just have to send your selfies to them. Kelly & Michael then checked in with the Superstar Chef for the week Scott Conant. His farm-to-table ingredient was lobster. Kelly & Michael had mentioned that lobster prices were down due to an unusual Maine harvest on July 3 2014. He was making a lobster salad with burrata, peaches, and tomatoes. Kelly & Michael said that sounded so good and just wanted to go straight to that segment and come back to the other stuff later.
