It was a snowy day in New York City for Kelly and Michael, so much so that Kelly thanked the audience for braving the Nor’Easter that is battering the East Coast, just a week and a half after Superstorm Sandy. Read on for details about the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and the new power flats fashion trend.

Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Lower Manhattan and New Jersey are experiencing more than 100,000 new power outages. Snow is up to 6” in many areas, with over a foot in one area of Connecticut.

Michael Strahan reported on his experience at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which he compared to Cirque Du Soleil. He showed a few photos he snapped on his phone during the show, which highlighted some elaborate and sexy costumes.

Bruno Mars was also on hand to perform, and Kelly compared him to a modern-day James Brown or Elvis Presley. “He’s all of those performers rolled into one,” she said. Rihanna and Justin Bieber were also part of the festivities. Kelly and Michael: Kelly Ripa Vs Gisele Bundchen

Kelly said she was pregnant years ago when the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show began. Gisele Bundchen visited the show with her wings, and they offered Kelly a pair of the wings. “I looked like a float with wings,” she said, recalling that she thought she looked great at the time. She compared her “pregnancy brain” to the delusional American Idol contestants who can’t sing. (And they couldn’t find a clip of this? Gelman fail.)

Michael had a responsible meal of fish and vegetables, because he has to watch his figure for the show. He ate at Catch, where Kelly once dined opposite Howie Mandel.

While it sounds like some ballots are still being counted in Florida, two candidates in Alabama and Florida elections won their races, despite having passed away shortly before election day.

Democrat Earl K. Wood of Florida passed away on October 15 at age 96, supposedly of natural causes. Alabama Republican Charles Beasley died October 12 at age 77, from an aneurysm. Michael found these election results confused.

Kelly and Michael: Power Flats Vs High Heels

The new trend in haute footwear is something called “power flats” which are taking on high heels as the latest runway fashion. Kelly said that she has a neuroma on her foot, which actually makes heels more comfortable for her. She says flats are uncomfortable for her, but I would think that many women would be relieved to be in flats for a change. I don’t know how they do it in heels.

Kelly said she remembers being confused seeing women wearing heels with their bikinis on a trip to Las Vegas. That sounds very impractical.

A new mom in Kenya named her newborn twins Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. You have to respect democracy, but I’m not sure I’d want to name my child after any politician.

Kelly & Michael: Idaho Bigfoot Vs Wooly Mammoth

Kelly’s sons are obsessed with the yeti and bigfoot, and she wants to believe in them too. But Michael doesn’t understand why no one can ever get a clear picture of these mythical creatures. One Idaho scientist wants to raise over $300,000 to fly a blimp over wooded areas, using a thermal camera to search for Bigfoot from above. Good luck, dude.

Meanwhile, archaeologists have unearthed an intact wooly mammoth skeleton 30 miles outside of Paris, France.

Fall into the Holidays Trivia: Josh Peck

Cheryl Cook from Martinez, Georgia was the day’s trivia caller. She was playing for a vacation at the Turtle Bay Resort in Hawaii. She had to name the teen sitcom starring recent guest Josh Peck.

She knew the answer was Drake & Josh, so she’ll be heading to paradise. One audience member also scored a gift certificate to Breville for small appliances.
