Grads Gift Prices on the Rise + Do You Lose Things in Your Purse?

Kelly & Michael: Grad Gift Rate Up

There were a lot of graduates in the audience. Michael said the college grads won’t be cheering when they have to get up for their jobs instead of going to the show. Kelly said the average person buying a graduation gift will spend $97.79 for two grads which is around $50 each. They didn’t know what you would get them. Kelly thinks it would probably be a gift card because there’s not much you would know to get a college graduate.

That price is up in the national average. It’s $4.7 billion, which is the highest amount in the survey’s nine-year history, but with Father’s Day around the corner, spending on dad has gone down. The average American will spend $113.80 on a gift for dad, which is down from $119. Kelly thought that was expensive. Michael was appalled and called all the dads unappreciated. Mother’s Day is a big deal, but Father’s Day isn’t. Kelly said she was going to get him a box of Kleenex this year. He had one, but was too lazy to reach for it.

Kelly & Michael: Driving Dog

Rosie, a 12 week-old puppy was so excited that she jumped into her owner’s car, hit the gearshift and gas pedal, and sent the car into a pond in Massachusetts. How big was that dog? Or that car? Michael didn’t believe it. He thought the owner did it and blamed it on the dog. He convinced Kelly it was a lie.

Kelly & Michael: Losing Things in Purses

A couple won the lottery for $50 million in Canada. The husband put the lottery ticket in his wife’s purse, but she lost it in church. A good person at the church found the ticket and gave it back. There was a picture of them kissing, but that probably wasn’t the case when they lost the ticket.

Kelly said that her purse is always a black hole. Why would you keep it there? Michael’s mom shakes her purse until she gets what she wants. Kelly talked about Gretchen Randolph, who has empty giant handbags because she’s scared she’ll lose things in there. She’s very organized.

Spin into Summer Travel Trivia: Ricky Gervais

The Spin into Summer Travel Trivia dancer was Chelsea Berret from Grand Forks, North Dakota. She’s almost 20 weeks pregnant.

The contestant was Norm Pemberton from Markaham, Ontario, Canada. He had to think about where he was in his picture. He had a bottle of champagne in the picture. His wife took the picture. He’s going on another trip tomorrow. He’s going to Salt Lake City and to see the canyons. He’s seeing where they make the Westerns.

He played for the St, James’s Club and Villas in Antigua. It’s valued at $8,000. The question was:
