Kelly & Michael: Audience Member’s Sling
Kelly and Michael talked to an audience member when they first came out today. He had hurt his arm and it was in a sling. He had attempted to clap for them, but couldn’t do it and they told him it was all right.

Kelly went to the going away party for a producer last night. In the 20 minutes on the way to the party, Germany scored five goals on Brazil. It was crazy. Michael said that the papers can’t to do enough to show the anguish of Brazil. It was so sad. There was one particularly sad picture of a man crying. It was particularly hard for Brazil. It’s more than a sport there.
Plus, you’re playing for your country, but it was a huge beating. Kelly said she didn’t understand what was happening because she was just listening to it. She started screaming in the cab, “Put a goalie in the net.” The team didn’t understand either. Michael was in Ohio and was shocked when he was in the car too.
Michael said that the Germans are really organized. He said they started rioting and looting and that the players should leave the country. It was such a huge loss. At the end of the day, though, there will only be one happy country.
Kelly & Michael: Pizza for Waiting Airplane Passangers
Because of the storms last night, which Kelly slept through, some passengers were stranded on the tarmac for hours, and the pilot sprang for pizza for the whole plane. That’s amazing. It was a Denver area flight that was diverted to Wyoming. The pilot ordered 50 pizzas. Kelly said that’s unheard of and unprecedented generosity and thoughtfulness. It didn’t say what his name was though. Maybe he wanted to be anonymous so people wouldn’t expect it again.
Michael wondered if he used a coupon. He said the airline should reimburse him. And the pizza company got the pizzas out really quick. How did they get it through security? Maybe the pizza guy had the TSA pre clearance. Michael was delayed three or four hours because of the storms and couldn’t understand how Kelly didn’t know about them. She didn’t even know it rained. The sound is blanketed in the city.
