Jimmy Fallon: Joel McHale vs Chevy Chase On Community
Community seemed to be doomed from the end of season three when the creator of the show, Dan Harmon, was dropped from the show and Moses Port and David Guarascio took over his spot as the showrunners. The show took an even steeper decline when one of the main stars of the show, Chevy Chase, quit midway into the season saying it was the lowest form of television and he didn’t want to be a part of it (he has since starred in one commercial).
During an interview with Howard Stern last month, Joel McHale revealed that Chase didn’t just not want to be there, he actually wanted to fight McHale when McHale would tell him to stay on the show because it is a great opportunity. Obviously Chase didn’t listen. McHale also told Stern Chase would use the N-word quite often on the set, saying he had permission from Richard Pryor to say it whenever he wanted.
Sounds like Chevy Chase has really lost it.
Jimmy Fallon: Joel McHale’s Bruce Jenner Stories
Last time Joel McHale was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the two got to swapping stories about run-ins with Bruce Jenner and his wife Kris Jenner and I hope they do it again tonight.
McHale shared his story about meeting Kris Jenner backstage at The View where she told him he didn’t need to run away from her just because he makes fun of her family on The Soup. McHale, always the comedian, stood his ground and told her it was Bruce Jenner he was actually scared of, telling Kris Jenner her husband was a very scary-looking person.
Jimmy Fallon shared the time he met Bruce Jenner in the NBC commissary and Tom Brokaw introduced the two. The meeting was cordial but later on Fallon said he ran into Jenner again and Jenner leaned in and whispered to Fallon that he needs to stop saying stuff about his face.
Hopefully both of the comedians have run into Bruce Jenner again. They probably have some more really good stories to talk about tonight.
