On April 23 2013, Katie Couric brings in expectant parents to try out the latest baby trends. New parents Nick and Vanessa Lachey bring their baby Camden in to the show. Nick breaks out a new song from his album of lullabies.
On April 22 2013, Katie hosts a big spring baby shower with Nick and Vanessa Lachey.
Katie: Baby Shower Cakes
One of the biggest trends for expectant parents is surprising their family with big gender reveals. They open a box of balloons in either pink or blue. They cut a cake and the inside is pink or blue. Katie has brought a couple in to demonstrate the big reveal. A wife surprises her husband with a cake shaped like baby blocks. She cuts it open and the inside is striped with blue and white cake.

Also on this episode, celebrity parents Nick and Vanessa Lachey are dropping parenting advice. They talk about everything they learned in parenting books, like What To Expect…, and things they learned along the way. It seems like Vanessa was shocked at the things that happened to her body.
Katie: Nick Lachey A Father”s Lullaby
Nick Lachey’s newest album is not a set of current top 40’s or summer hit songs. At least, not with the over four crowd. A Father’s Lullaby is a record of Nick and baby Camden’s favorite soothing songs. He wrote four new songs for the album, inspired by his first child. The songs are so soothing that you just want to curl up in a ball and doze off for the night, even if it’s 4:30 p.m.
Camden and his dad grace the cover of the album. If anyone but Nick were the father, it would be unbelievable that this baby is real. Camden has the biggest blue eyes, milky white skin and perfectly coiffed dark hair. He is the spitting image of Nick Lachey.
