What would Judge Judy say? That’s the question Katie Couric is asking the popular TV personality on August 21.
Katie Couric was happy to announce that Judge Judy’s daytime court show has been renewed through 2017, which will mark 21 years on the air. Can you believe she has been part of the TV landscape for so long?
Judith Sheindlin said it took quite a leap of faith on someone’s part for her in the beginning. But Katie pointed out that Judy brings her own big personality to the equation. Why does Judy think she has been successful?
According to Sheindlin, the audience wants to live vicariously through her perspective and watch her set people straight. Of course, there have been countless cases of a similar nature, so you often can anticipate what she is going to say.
Katie called Judy “a great BS detector,” and speculated that Judy’s popularity also stems from her forthrightness. “There’s a sense of sort of entitlement that kids grow up with” today, Judy claimed. Do you think that’s true?
