The first Grown Ups was all about a group of five close friends that find an excuse to have a reunion—families in tow—after their high-school basketball coach dies. It’s pretty hard to top that, so what’s their excuse for a reunion in Grown Ups 2? Actually, there isn’t one. Adam Sandler’s character, Lenny, after having the time of his life three years ago in the first Grown Ups, decides to move his family back to his hometown so that he never has to reunite with his high school friends again.
However, what should be an otherwise warm reuniting of friends turns into a nightmare when Lenny realizes that the bullies from his childhood hung around, too.
Katie: Childhood Bullies
In addition to dealing with the adult bullies from his childhood, Lenny’s children are now being bullied, as well. Between all of this chaos, did Lenny make the right decision in moving home? That will be the conundrum he will face throughout the movie.
