GMA: Robin Roberts Christmas
After Good Morning America Thursday, the team visited Robin Robert at her home for a Christmas celebration. They helped her trim her tree, read ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas, and attempted to dance “Gangnam Style,” to varying degrees of success. They also enjoyed the Robin Roberts Christmas Punch Recipe her mom used to make, which you can find below.
They traveled across town with a Christmas tree and all the decorations, with George driving his co-anchors across town, singing carols and reuniting with their recovering co-star.
Good Morning America: Donny Hathaway This Christmas
She had green fuzzy slippers waiting for everyone. Robin said Donny Hathaway’s rendition of “This Christmas” is her favorite holiday song. An audience member made a special Robin ornament. George Stephanopolous’s daughters made Robin personalized stockings.
Sam Champion put a snowflake on the top of the tree. However, I don’t think “Gangnam Style” is going to become a new Christmas classic. Good thing Josh Elliott is better at plugging things in than singing.
Good Morning America Christmas Party with Robin Roberts
The team also enjoyed a glass of Robin’s mother’s Christmas Punch. Sadly, Robin lost her mother, Luciamarian Roberts, earlier this year.
The group shared a toast and exchanged gifts and well wishes for the future. “The biggest present is having you here in my home,” Robin said. She said she can’t wait to be back at work with her friends.
What are your favorite Christmas traditions?
GMA: Robin Roberts Christmas Toast
“You’re blessed when your family are your friends and your friends are your family,” Robin said. “That’s when you know you’re truly blessed.” The cast also posed for a Christmas card around Robin’s tree, wearing matching Santa hats.
Back in the studio, everyone said they had a great time. Josh mentioned that Robin had to have an artificial tree so there was no chance of exposing her weakened immune system to something that might set back her recovery.

GMA: Robin Roberts Christmas Gifts
Robin’s gifts included a portrait from Sam and a tennis promise key from Lara, who has been meaning to get a game in with Robin. It sounds like she gave some great gifts as well.
Good Morning America: Jesse Tyler Ferguson Ornament
Out in Times Square, Jesse Tyler Ferguson had a handmade ornament made by his grandmother. The paper gingerbread ornament was delicately painted and looked very nice.
