GMA: Prince William Giving Up Search and Rescue Job
Prince William may be giving up his day job of being a search and rescue pilot. Reportedly, he’s put in his formal notice. It’s possible that Prince William may become a full-time royal, or he might just be based closer to home. With a baby at home and being second in line to the throne, he might not be able to be a search and rescue pilot and balance his home and royal life.
GMA: Red Medicine Shames No-Shows
Yesterday, Good Morning America reported that an L.A. restaurant called Red Medicine shamed the people who didn’t show for their reservations at their restaurant by calling them out by name on Twitter. On March 28 2013, they talked to the owner. He said that “naming and shaming” the no-shows wasn’t generally a policy. But their restaurant is small, with just a little over 50 seats, and when a lot of people don’t show, it’s a big loss of profit. But the decision remains controversial. I still think it’s kind of insulting that a restaurant thinks it can get away with that. Do dentists and doctor’s offices shame their no-shows? Should they? It just all seems sort of childish to me.
GMA: Robin Roberts Meets Her Double
After sending out a request to fans to send in photos and videos of themselves if they think they look like one of the anchors of GMA, the hosts are meeting their doubles this week. First up was Lara Spencer on Tuesday and yesterday, it was George Stephanopoulos. Now, it was Robin Roberts’ turn.
I have to say, 52-year-old Kat Smith looked a lot like Robin Roberts. I think of all the doubles so far, this one was the most weird. Besides being a few inches taller than Robin Roberts and having a tattoo on her shoulder, Kat Smith easily looked like her. She said that Wolfgang Puck even thought she was Robin Roberts when she was in L.A. Robin Roberts let Kat Smith read the cue card for the next segment and she was actually pretty convincing.
GMA: Rachel Smith Investigates Fast N’ Loud
In a segment that was barely more than a commercial for the new Discovery Channel show Fast N’ Loud, GMA correspondent Rachel smith went down to Dallas to meet the people behind the reality show. The show depicts a garage in Dallas that works to make their customers’ cars faster and louder. Richard from the show said that running a garage while the cameras are running is “controlled chaos.” After sitting in the passenger side of a truck while one of the people from the show drove it around, doing donuts in a dirt lot, Rachel Smith tried to do it, too. She wasn’t nearly as good at it.
