Good morning! Lara Spencer and Pop News started the day off right with breaking Miss Universe news. This year’s winner is none other than Miss USA, Olivia Culpo. Olivia is from Rhode Island and is 20-years-old. It is the first time a Miss USA has won the Miss Universe pageant since 1997.

It is an exact replica done by a Utah man named Chris Jensen, and it’s completely edible. It even lights up! Downton Abbey will return with a highly-anticipated third season on January 6.
Pop News: San Diego Zoo Baby Panda Little Gift
There is a new baby panda at the San Diego Zoo, and his name translates from Chinese to English as “Little Gift.” At 20-weeks-old, he’s not quite ready to join his mom inside the zoo just yet – first, he needs to learn to climb on his own. But until then, the fuzzy little guy can be watched 24/7 through a “panda cam” that the zoo has set up online. It’s the most adorable reality show ever!
Pop News: Angelina Jolie to Direct WWII Film
What A-list actress is stepping behind the camera to direct a film on World War II? It’s not too hard to guess that it’s Angelina Jolie. She’s professed her desire to direct a film before, and has also recently said that she would retire from acting when her children are teenagers.
No word yet on who the film might star, or when it might come out. But Angelina is an Academy Award winner, so it’s sure to be great.
