GMA: Mama June of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo
Mama June, mother to TLC’s child-pageant-queen Honey Boo Boo, recently released a book titled How To Honey Boo Boo. The second season of the show will be making its debut later this year, bringing back all the wild exploits of the family, which will include professional wrestling?
This weekend, some of those exploits took place when the family visited the White House over the weekend. She wanted her family to see the White House, and said that it was a great experience…besides the excessive humidity that makes even Georgia’s muggy climate seem mild by comparison.
Good Morning America: How To Honey Boo Boo Preview

Mama June discussed her new book, How To Honey Boo Boo and the second season of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
The subtitle for How To Honey Boo Boo reads “How To Redneckognize The Honey Boo Boo In You,” and thankfully, Mama June took a moment to explain just what this meant. The book was written to give people a glance into what the family does in their spare time, their likes, and some of their dislikes, as well. Some of the catchphrases of the book include, “unless you’re a professional redneck, don’t try this at home.”
Though some may wonder just what the heck is going on with the family when they watch Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, it was noted that, underneath all of the bizarre happenings that take place in the Boo Boo household, everything is held together with an underpinning of love. Mama June said that she really tries to keep her family together by keeping them all modest, even with all of the fame.
GMA: Mama June Has A Crush On Mario Lopez
Mama June said that her celebrity crush is Mario Lopez, and Mario actually sent a clip of thanks to Mama on the show, saying that he wishes them the best and that he loves the show. Mama said that she met Mario Lopez first when she was at her first AMC marketing shoot, and when he spoke to her, she was shocked that he knew who she was.
Mama June recently officiated her nuptials to Honey Bear, her now husband. The ceremony was small and modest and, in traditional Mama June fashion, she went the non-traditional route and not a white dress, but one with a strange print.
Season two of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo premieres Wednesday, July 17.
