Good Morning America: Nicki Minaj American Music Awards

Nicki Minaj took home two American Music Awards and performed two times at the event. She is also going to be one of the new judges for American Idol starting in January, she just released a new album, Pink Friday Roman Reloaded, and she made a new perfume. Minaj is one busy woman.

She came out of the set of Good Morning America in pink everything, from hair to clothes to shoes.

She said she was surprised when she won an award at the AMAs. She was trying to focus on her performance at the show, not winning awards. But she had a great time either way. She said the AMAs feel comfortable when she is there. Other awards shows are a bit more stuffy, but she said the AMAs have their own feeling.

Good Morning America: Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber Duet

Minaj and Justin Bieber sang a duet at the awards. She said when they asked her to do the duet, she knew she had to say yes. But it was difficult. She said they had little time to rehearse and never did an actual, full rehearsal. She was really worried about hitting her cues and doing everything correctly.

She kept laughing at the video GMA was showing of the performance looking a little embarrassed to have been singing a duet with Bieber and nearly grinding on him at one point.

Good Morning America: Pink Friday Roman Reloaded

Minaj said she just re-released her album called Pink Friday Roman Reloaded. She said it is the same album as her previous album, except there are seven new songs on this album. She said, to her, it feels like a brand new album.

Plus her perfume, Pink Friday, has also come out recently. The perfume is said to smell “musky with fruity note, creamy vanilla, boysenberry, caramelized pears and woody notes” along with about 10 other smells.

Has anyone tried the perfume? What does it smell like? The bottle looks too creepy for me to purchase for anyone I know. It is essentially a replica of Nicki Minaj hollowed out with perfume inside.

GMA: Nicki Minaj Vs Mariah Carey American Idol Drama

Nicki Minaj said she is going to be one of the honest judges on American Idol, not the mean one, after hearing some people are saying she is going to be the mean judge on the show. She said being honest will make someone better, not lying to them. She said people come on the show to get better and people need to hear honest remarks to get better.

As for the dispute with American Idol judge Mariah Carey (Minaj called her old), Minaj said she is a passionate person and other women can get upset with other passionate women. She said she loves Mariah Carey and some of her best memories with her own mother are from when they would listen to Mariah Carey together.

She said she is going to continue being Nicki Minaj either way.
