Good Morning America: Lara Spencer Punk’d

Josh Elliott was recently punk’d by Lara Spencer and Nick Jonas during a fake interview. And Elliott wanted to get some revenge.

He set up a fake interview between Spencer and tennis superstars Jim Courier and Andre Agassi. The plan was to go to Madison Square Garden, do a quick interview and play a friendly game of doubles tennis on the court. Little did Spencer know, Elliott had the tennis superstars on his side. Agassi was going to play the good guy, lobbing the ball to Spencer and making her run a little, while Courier, her teammate, was going to flip out when she missed the ball.

And he did a great job. Courier threw his racket, screamed a whole lot and even asked Spencer if she choked like this on television. But the nail in the coffin was Courier walking up to Spencer and asking her why she was smiling and laughing the whole time. You could see the look of horror on Spencer’s face.

But just as she was about to break down, Elliott came out and said it was all a joke.

Good Morning America: Jim Courier Calls In

Jim Courier called into Good Morning America and said he thought Spencer was on to him the whole time. He thought she was going to call him out at any moment. But Elliott kept pushing him to make her more and more mad, so he did his best.

Courier did say it felt good to break a racket for the first time in a very long time. He also said the hardest part about punking Spencer was that she was a really good tennis player!
