Good Morning America: Jesse Tyler Ferguson & Modern Family
Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson talked with GMA about this week’s episode of the hit family comedy and the cast’s love for one another. “You can’t fake chemistry,” he said. That chemistry plays a role in the success of Modern Family and of his family within the show.
In this week’s episode, his character, Mitchell, shows his competitive side when his daughter, Lily, has a gymnastics competition. GMA showed a clip from the show of Mitchell rooting for his daughter’s competitors to fall off the balance beam and then shows him cheering when one girl does fall. Jesse said that he thinks when he becomes a father, he will be that kind of father. “I am already ashamed of that—pre-ashamed,” he said.
Good Morning America: Jesse Tyler Ferguson Does Shakespeare
This June, Jesse Tyler Ferguson will take to the stage in a production of William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors, at Shakespeare in the Park. He said that this was a dream role of his and it will be a great production, directed by Dan Sullivan.
The tickets are free, but waiting in line for the tickets is the only option, so they are extremely hard to come by. Jesse said that he loves working on television in Modern Family, but there’s nothing like being on stage and having audience interaction. “Theater is an actor’s medium…. There are no editors, no directors,” he said. He enjoys being able to perform the whole play from the beginning to end, without having to stop-and-go as they do when filming television shows.
Good Morning America: Tie The Knot Foundation Bow Ties
