Sir Ben Kinglsey Plays The Mandarin In Iron Man 3
What’s better than Iron Man? As Robert Downey Jr puts it, the villans that he faces. Iron Man 3 brings us The Mandarin, who might be the biggest baddie yet. He’s a terrorist, a mad scientist and deadly.
Sir Ben Kingsley is this latest villan, terrorist, baddie – whatever you want to call him, he’s a bad guy. Kingsley wanted to play him as a person that has a sense of righteousness. He said that terrorists don’t know what they are saying, that’s what makes them creepy. They say these horrible and terrifying things like they are every day dialogue.
The Mandarin vs Baptist Preacher Speech In Iron Man 3
Robert Downey Jr equated Kingsley’s speech in this film to a “Baptist Preacher.” Kingsley agreed with the description. “I call myself a teacher” is one of his lines. He’s a master at word play and gets inside the speech, using the words in such a crazy way.
This description seems a little muddled, so we’ll just have to see what exactly this bad guy says when the movie comes out on May 3.
Robert Downey Jr & Ben Kingsley Love Each Other
Robert Downey Jr was so excited about this new team of actors. He said that Iron Man is made better by the villans he faces.
“I’m only as good as the company I keep,” Sir Ben Kingsley said. He said that Downey Jr gave him the warmest of receptions on set.
The cast and crew come together and make this an incredible film. With original cast returning, like Gwyneth Paltrow and RDJ, and adding in new faces, this film is shaping up to be the movie to beat in the box office.
