Amy Purdy was on Good Morning America to talk about being a part of ESPN Magazine’s 2014 Body issue. Also, Nicole Richie is jumping back into the world of TV with her show Candidly Nicole.
GMA: ESPN Magazine’s 2014 Body Issue
ESPN Magazine’s 2014 Body issue hits newsstands Friday July 11 2014. The magazine will have six different covers, including Venus Williams and Michael Phelps. Twenty-two athletes total participated in the making of this magazine, including Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy. She said that right after she finished working with Good Morning America, she got a phone call asking if she wanted to be a part of the ESPN Magazine 2014 Body issue, and she said yes right away. Amy Purdy said that she has a lot of respect for the magazine and what it stands for, and being a part of it was very exciting.
Amy Purdy got her first look at the image on Good Morning America, and she looked pretty fantastic. She said the pose she’s doing in the picture was a bit difficult, especially since they oil you up to show off your muscles. She said photographing nude is a little awkward at first, but after about ten minutes it feels totally normal. Lately, Amy Purdy has been working on a book, and she’s also working on an upcoming clothing line and TV projects.
Good Morning America: Candidly Nicole Reality Show
Nicole Richie is jumping back into the world of TV. Most people first got to know Nicole Richie when she was on The Simple Life with Paris Hilton, but now her web series Candidly Nicole is going to VH1.
Robin Roberts told Nicole Richie that she’s very funny on Twitter, and apparently that’s how everything came about. Nicole Richie said the show is based off of her Twitter account, and that she uses Twitter to laugh. She likes to use Twitter to poke fun at herself and explore things that she doesn’t know anything about such as online dating, gel nails, and other light hearted things.
Nicole Richie said that Candidly Nicole isn’t reality TV, but also isn’t scripted, and that it falls somewhere in between, and what she likes to call real life comedy. Nicole Richie said it’s a space where she can explore, learn and have fun.
On Good Morning America viewer asked what perspective Nicole Richie wants the audience to take away from watching her show. She said she wants people to have a good time, and walking away learning more about something new.
Nicole Richie said motherhood has changed her, and that it’s the best. She said it teaches you a lot about patience and constant compassion. She said her parents are great grandparents, and that her mother in particular is a bit over the top.
Candidly Nicole premieres Thursday July 17 2014 on VH1.
