GMA: Justin Timberlake Album Sales
Jess Cagle, editor of Entertainment Weekly, came by Good Morning America March 21 2013 to talk about the hottest stories of the day. Justin Timberlake’s new album is predicted by some experts to sell 750,000 copies in its first week. The artist took six years off from music and Jess Cagle said he’s coming back just as relevant as ever. He said that he thought Justin Timberlake’s been smart about utilizing Saturday Night Live to show off his comedic talent and that he’s done a good job of staying in pop culture even if it’s been outside of music.
GMA: Naomi Watts Criticizes Women Who’ve Had Work Done
Naoami Watts told Australia’s Good Health magazine that she thought actresses who have had work done just can’t get their faces to emote the same way that women who haven’t can. Jess Cagle said he thought what she said was really smart and a lot of Hollywood producers have trouble finding a big name actress in her 50s and 60s who hasn’t had work done. He said that serious actresses should age into those roles and try not to fight it. Sam Champion joked that he’s ready for plastic surgery, especially since he doesn’t need to register surprise or fear while doing the weather.
GMA: Woman Who Lost 200 Pounds Said She Was Happier Before She Lost It
A Utah woman named Jen Larsen dreamed of being skinny when she was 308 pounds. But after losing 180 pounds, she found that she wasn’t any happier than she was before. She had battled weight issues her whole life and tried every diet and finally tried bariatric surgery. Dr. Bethany Marshall, a psychoanalyst, said that this happens a lot to people who lose a lot of weight. She said that a lot of people believe that losing weight will solve their problems. Larsen said that after losing the weight, she realized she had to deal with her real problems outside of the weight. In her book, Stranger Here, Larsen talks about how she addressed these problems.

GMA had plenty of deals and steals March 21 2013, which are available exclusively on their website. First up was the Amelia Rose earrings, which normally are $79 and are slashed in half at $39. The earrings are made of quartz and Lara Spencer is a fan. Then there was Thursday Friday’s floral tote bags, which normally are between $35-90 and now are $17.50-45.
Snack fans could try the dozen chocolate covered Oreos decorated with an Easter theme. Normally $35, slashed down into $17,50. Next up was a bunch of Peeps memorabilia, including two gigantic Peeps stuffed animals, a baby onesie that reads “Chillin’ With My Peeps” and a shirt that says “Inside We’re All The Same.” These all go for between $15-150 but are slashed in half to $7.50-75.
