Amy Adams Always Wanted to Play Lois Lane
As a young girl, Amy Adams dreamt of a man in uniform—a superhero uniform that is. Adams had a big crush on Superman and wanted desperately to be his Lois Lane. She even still knows the words to Superman and Lois’ love song. Adams was drawn to Lois Lane’s spit-fire attitude and gumption. As she grew up, that dream turned into a reality when Christopher Nolan cast her in his epic summer film, Man of Steel.
Adams told Ellen DeGeneres that she auditioned for the role of Lois Lane three times. Once for a production with Matt Bomer that was never made and again for the Brian Singer film. It was Nolan that snapped the red head up to be his leading lady. Adams said that she is no damsel in distress, but her character does get into a few scrapes and needs to be flown to safety.
Amy Adams’ Crush on Henry Cavill
As for this new Superman, Henry Cavill certainly looks the part. Adams said she is touching him in most of their scenes and was used to the Superman suit. They had to do a photo shoot recently and she was thrown off by not having him in the suit.
Also fixtures in Amy’s life, her fiancé of six years, Darren Le Gallo, and their daughter, Aviana. She said her daughter recently asked if she still works with Miss Piggy, something we’d all like to see happen again.
Extreme Weight Loss: Meredith Tattoos Goal Weight on Stomach
On a recent episode of Extreme Weight Loss Chris Powell helped transform Meredith. Meredith always knew she was adopted because she was heavier than the rest of her family. At her heaviest, Meredith said she weighed over 400 pounds. Powell surprised her and her kindergarten class, saying that she was going to get the extreme weight loss makeover.
Over the last year, Meredith has lost half her body weight. She’s now down to 155 pounds and walks with a bounce in her step. Her confidence shows in her face and the way she presents her new body. She actually tattooed her goal weight on her stomach, which was what really inspired Powell.
