GMA: Demi Lovato’s Father Dies
Singer/songwriter Demi Lovato has a huge week ahead of her. Her newest single, “Made In The USA” is hitting the radio airwaves today, and she will be performing on Good Morning America tomorrow. Another big life event for Demi came over the weekend with the passing of her father, Patrick Lovato, who died suddenly on June 23 2013. Demi said they didn’t have the best relationship, but he was still her father, and it still hurts.
Good Morning America: Demi Lovato Treatment Scholarship Program
Demi Lovato took the chance while on the show to announce that she is launching the Lovato Treatment Scholarship Program, where she will help one person at a time by paying for the treatment with CAST Recovery, a treatment center she has worked very closely with. This scholarship will help those struggling with mental issues, like her father did, or addiction, to get the help they need.

Demi Lovato made her directorial debut with the video for “Made In The USA,” which she co-directed with Ryan Voletta. Demi felt really comfortable behind the camera lens, and the single will actually be playing on top-40 radio today. Demi’s Twitter followers, called “Lovatics,” have been supporting her music relentlessly.
Some of Demi’s Lovatics asked some questions of her for the show, the first of which asked her what she thought was the best part about her Lovatics. Demi said that the best part of her fans have stood by her through thick and thin, especially through this difficult past week.

Another question Demi fielded was whether or not she would be appearing on any other TV shows, because she is coming back for The X Factor this year. Demi said that she isn’t doing anything else, but that is mostly because her time is devoured by The X Factor and work on her new album, Demi.
