Good Morning America: Thanksgiving Craft Ideas
Besides have a great turkey on the dinner table for Thanksgiving, people are going to expect some really nice things on the dining room table, from a beautiful centerpiece and place mats.
Good Morning America enlisted the help of Darcy Miller, one of the editors at Martha Stewart Weddings, to show them some great ways to spruce up the dining room table.
Miller said it is very easy to do. You only need some paper, some paint and a bunch of tree branches.
Good Morning America: Craft Punch
Miller said using some plain brown craft paper with neat little designs with make the table look great. She said to purchase a craft punch that will allow you to put all types of frills and designs in the craft paper. Also, downloading menu cards from the internet and using the craft punch to decorate them offers a fun way to let people know what’s on the menu.
Good Morning America: Mayflower Boat Craft & The Kid’s Table
The kids table is also going to need some decorations Miller said getting a plastic cup, painting them gold and filling them popcorn and little designs on a stick it going to make the table fun. She also suggested printing out coloring place mats for the children to keep them occupied at the dinner table.
Good Morning America: Thanksgiving Tree Centerpiece
Miller said you could also make a Thanksgiving tree for the centerpiece. She to grab some branches from outside and make them into a little tree in a glass vase. She also suggested getting paper leaves for people to write what they are thankful for and then hanging the leaves on the tree.
