Game of Thrones: Robb Stark’s Bad Decisions
I have to admit the story line of Catelyn Stark and her boy son Robb has never thrilled me. I often skipped over them and just zoned out when Catelyn came on the screen. Episode two found the Stark matriarch and King of the North traveling to Riverrun.
Catelyn’s father, Lord Hoster Tully, had passed away. Robb got the sad news during a make out session with his equally boring queen. He brought the news to Catelyn, who fell into her emotional chasm of pain. Then, he gave her the news of Winterfell and Bran. Que crazy mama bear eyes.
Jaime Lannister was this close to freedom. He just had to get Brienne in a sword fight and get captured by the Boltons. Way to go. (Image Credit: Helga Esteb / Shutterstock.com)
Game of Thrones: Can Robb Win the War?
Robb has a lot of people believing in him. As King of the North, he has people to defend and rights to uphold. He asked one of his counselors if he stands a chance in this war. They told him that they lost hope for a victory in the north the day Robb married Queen Whatshername.
Game of Thrones: Crazy Lady Stark
The boring Lady Stark is still a prisoner of Robb’s for letting Jaime Lannister go. She sat by the side of the caravan to Riverrun and made a dream catcher. Queen Whatshername came up and asked if she could help. Lady Stark explained that this process is to give your children strength and peace in hard times.
The Queen asked about the other times that Catelyn had made dream catchers. She previously made one for Bran after his fall and, shockingly, for Jon Snow. If there is one thing Catelyn Stark hates, it’s Jon Snow. She made him one when he was ill with the pox. She said she felt responsible for Jon’s illness and stood vigil for him. As soon as he got better, she went back to hating him.
Game of Thrones: Jaime Lannister
It’s good to see Jaime Lannister put in his place by Brienne of Tarth. Brienne is getting him to King’s Landing in exchange for Sansa and Arya. Good luck with that, Brienne.
Jaime and Brienne traveled through the woods instead of taking the King’s Road. Jaime looked like a puppy being walked by a cat lover. Brienne tugged at his harness and told him to shut up and walk.
Game of Thrones: Jaime Lannister Discovered
While traveling what they thought was a quiet and deserted path, Brienne and Jaime ran into an old man. Jaime wanted to kill the man to silence him, but Brienne refused. Mistake number one, Brienne.
They got away unscathed, but later Jaime took one of Brienne’s swords and tried to free himself and kill her. They were just sword playing around and the chemistry began to pump. They were then stopped by Roose Bolton’s men and were captured. They are being taken to Harrenhall to be questioned and kept for Robb Stark.
