Ellen: Taylor Swift 1989 Album
Taylor’s new album 1989 is named after the year she was born and it’s her first fully pop album. As you might have noticed from her hit single “Shake It Off“, Taylor’s going in a more brainless, repetitive direction with her music. Okay, maybe “brainless” and repetitive” is in my opinion. It’s not necessarily everyone’s opinion.
But remember when Taylor wrote nice country songs about listening to Tim McGraw, love stories, and how enchanted she felt by someone? Ever since Red, Taylor’s gone in a different direction than her roots. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Everyone has to grow up sometime. But it doesn’t mean I have to like it!
Others seem to love the new direction, though, so what do I know?

Taylor Swift obviously has a very illustrious career and she’ll be dishing about it all hour with Ellen. Taylor is only 24 and has already taken home 7 Grammy Awards, 9 Country Music Association Awards, and 14 American Music Awards. This year, she was even Billboard Magazine’s Woman of the Year for the second time.
Her album is actually coming out on October 27, 2014, and Ellen was lucky enough to get her to herself for the whole hour! You won’t want to miss Ellen that day, when Taylor talks about all of this and so much more!
