Ellen: Nicole Richie Interview

The daughter of musician Lionel Richie, Nicole Richie grew up in Hollywood around the rich, famous, and privileged. At first, Nicole was known more for being a socialite and for her hard-partying ways. She gained fame for her starring role alongside Paris Hilton in the reality series The Simple Life, which ran for five years in the mid 2000s. However, Nicole is now known more for being a fashionista, a successful businesswoman, and a great mom!

Unlike some of her party girl contemporaries, Nicole has made a successful transition into a career beyond reality television. She is married to musician Joel Madden and the couple have two adorable children, Harlow and Sparrow. In 2008, Nicole launched the jewelry line House of Harlow 1960, named for her daughter. The brand has become an international success, a celebrity favorite, and earned Nicole the title of ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the 2010 Glamour ‘Woman of the Year’ Awards.

Ellen: Comedian and Ventriloquist Nina Conti

Also, Ellen October 18 will welcome English comedian, ventriloquist, and actress Nina Conti. The very funny star is sure to have the audience in stitches. A London native, she is known for her side-splitting comedic routines (which often feature a friend or two). Her favorite on-stage partner is a depressed monkey named Monk– maybe he will also make an appearance!
