I first heard of Nicki Minaj when someone sent me a YouTube video of Taylor Swift doing the rap part of “Super Bass” on a radio station. It made me laugh, not because Taylor Swift actually pulled it off, but it made me wonder who this Nicki Minaj person is. Then, she turned up on Drake’s Thank Me Later album on the song “Up All Night,” and I really started to like her. That was a couple years ago. Now, it’s hard not to know who she is.
From her unusual way of dressing to her constantly joining other artists on their songs, Nicki Minaj has made quite a name for herself in the world. Now, she’s joining Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson at the American Idol judges table. That’s a lot of talent at one table and it’s sure to be a crazy season.
Plus, Ellen has a special gift for Nicki Minaj: a bright blue wig with a neon sign above it that reads “Ellen.” In the preview for tomorrow’s show, Nicki didn’t seem to like it. Will Nicki Minaj reject it? Find out tomorrow.
