Everyone has a favorite friend, but I’m willing to bet 70 percent or more of those people would choose Phoebe Buffay when it comes to the six friends on Friends. She was a singer songwriter, a quirky waif, a free spirit with a bizarre take on the universe, who sang “Smelly Cat,” built dollhouses that were not to code or safe at all for the dolls inside (not to mention any people around them!), and had an affinity for paintings that were made to look like the people inside the painting were crawling out of them. She was a total weirdo, but she was America’s weirdo.

Now, the woman who played her, Lisa Kudrow, will come by Ellen to talk about her current show The Comeback, where she plays a fading star that’s trying to make her comeback to fame. You won’t want to miss it!

Ellen: Max Greenfield New Girl

Speaking of favorite friends, I think everyone has a favorite roommate on New Girl. Whether you’re into hilarious slackers like Nick, eccentric cat-loving weirdos like Winston, sings-about-everything perfectionists like Jess, or tries-too-hard-but-you-like-him-anyway Schmidt, there’s something for everyone on the show. Throw in model-turned-bartender Cece and abrasive Coach, and you have yourself a wonderful show. This show is my favorite on television and while I wouldn’t want to pick one, if I had to, I’d pick Schmidt, played by the lovable Max Greenfield.
