Ellen: BuzzFeed Quizzes
Ellen DeGeneres spoke with President Barack Obama about the Affordable Care Act during her March 20 show. But first, Ellen said she is worried about the country’s growing addiction to BuzzFeed quizzes about your personality. These popular tests ask random questions to help you figure out which Muppet or pizza slice you are most like.
There is a quiz that helps you determine which queen of comedy you are most like, with answers including Ellen DeGeneres and Tina Fey. To test the accuracy, she decided to take the quiz on TV to find out whether she is most like herself, according to BuzzFeed.
Ellen TV: Which Queen of Comedy is Ellen?
Ellen chose her own show as her favorite. In response to the complaint that women aren’t funny, she chose “cock an eyebrow and say nothing.” She chose red wine from a random selection of drinks and classified kids as “tiny germ sacks.”
On a Friday night, Ellen said that she is probably on Twitter, the social network she broke while hosting the 2014 Oscars. She had trouble narrowing down a vice, but she eventually picked TV and called the Internet awesome, because of Twitter. As for politics, she had trouble finding a satisfactory answer.
According to her quiz results, Ellen DeGeneres is Chelsea Handler. “How is that possible?” Ellen wondered. “I don’t know if they’re as accurate as everybody says.” (Then she danced to The Black Keys song “Lonely Boy.”)

Then Ellen surprised her audience by video chatting with President Barack Obama. She even got him to do a little chair dance via satellite. DeGeneres had some questions from Michelle, who was out of town, about whether he is doing chores, exercising, and eating well.
Then they got down to business, and Ellen apologized to Obama for breaking his retweet record on Twitter. “I thought it was a pretty cheap stunt myself,” he joked. “Getting a bunch of celebrities in the background, you feeding them pizza.”
Ellen TV: Obama Daughters in China
Michelle Obama was traveling to China at the time of this interview with the Obamas’ daughters, which meant the president was home alone with the dogs. He said he hoped that some students from China would get the same chance to visit America in the future through this educational program.
Malia will turn 16 this summer, and Sasha will be 13 in 2014. President Obama said he is proud of his daughters, but he is adjusting to the idea that the daughters don’t have as much time to spend with him.
However, President Obama and Michelle have told the girls that they will both get whatever tattoos they have in the same place as their daughters and take a family photo together. Talk about an effective parenting deterrent. He also goaded Ellen into joining their bet.
Ellen: President Obama Gap & Minimum Wage
President Obama was recently photographed shopping at the Gap. How did that come about, Ellen wondered. He said he went there to show his support for the company’s decision to support employees by raising their employees’ minimum wage.
Ellen also got the president to weigh in on the Netflix political drama House of Cards. “Life in Washington is a little more boring than displayed on the screen,” he said, admitting that he has not yet joined Michelle in checking out the hit show Scandal. “There is not that much dancing in the situation room,” he said.
Ellen TV: Affordable Care Act Obamacare Deadline
On March 31 2014, open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) will close. President Obama urged anyone in Ellen’s audience who does not have healthcare to visit healthcare.gov to learn about the economical options for medical insurance and peace of mind.
Obama said that young people should consider their options and they may find that it is cheaper to get health insurance than pay for your phone bill or cable bill. After open enrollment closes, people won’t be able to sign up again until November. So far, Ellen said about five million users have signed up.
