Ellen: Holiday Shopping
Ellen kicked off her show by talking about shopping during the holiday season. She asked her audience whether they were shopaholics and when they cheered, she told them to check out the Ellen Store on their way out.
She said stores will lure us to their stores with deals and the second we walk in, someone sprays us in the eyes with perfume and before you know it, you’re buying an expensive Gucci bag. “At least that’s what Portia said happened,” she joked.

Ellen TV: Saint Nick or Rabbi Pic
Because Hanukkah overlaps with Christmas this year, Ellen decided to play Saint Nick or Rabbi Pic, a game where she showed a close-up of a picture of a rabbi or Saint Nick and the audience had to guess which one it was. Ellen told the audience if they were wrong, 12 Days of Giveaways was cancelled.
The audience thought it was Santa every single time, so they got three wrong. But Ellen didn’t cancel 12 Days of Giveaways. She was just kidding.
Ellen: Target Gift Card Review
Last month, Ellen surprised Susan and her seven friends when she came to their door to play Cash at Your Door. They won a ticket to 12 Days of Giveaways on the show and were very excited to be there. She called them out onto the set.
It turned out they got so excited when they came outside, they accidentally locked themselves out of their house. Luckily, one of Ellen’s cameramen volunteered to climb a ladder and help them out.
Ellen suggested they all take a picture for a holiday card. When they all posed with Ellen and a shirtless Nick the Gardener dressed as Santa Claus, Ellen told them they were all getting a $2,000 Target gift card.
