Ellen: Online Dating Season Has Started

Ellen found out there is an online dating season, looked at some talent videos sent in by her viewers, and sent Amy to Lowe’s to play a few pranks.
Did you know there is an online dating season? Neither did Ellen. Apparently the season is starting around this time and Ellen could not figure out why you would want to try and meet someone on the internet when it is so close to Valentine’s Day. And she has a point. It can be hard to buy a romantic gift for someone you have been dating a long time, let alone someone you just met. As Ellen put it, the only thing you know about the person is that they are single and they have a computer.
Ellen’s advice for someone looking for love was to keep an open heart and an open mind and not worry whether you meet someone during online dating season or at a local coffee shot. Plus, if nothing else works there is always Craigslist, said Ellen.
Looks like Tony is going to have to delete all his user names on matchmaking sites now that he has a girlfriend. And according to Ellen, he has a lot of usernames on a lot of online dating sites.
Ellen: Ravens Win the Super Bowl
Ellen loves football and she said she had a great time watching the Super Bowl this weekend. She congratulated the Ravens on wining and told them “thank you” for winner her $2,000 in the office pool. Actually, Ellen just filled all the squares in with her name so she couldn’t lose in the first place.
Ellen Here’s My Talent Contest for $10,000
Ellen has a contest going on, Ellen Here’s My Talent, where she is asking her viewers to send in their best talents via video and the person with the best talent will win $10,000. Ellen looked at the first batch of talent videos today and they were quite interesting. One woman sang a song to her dog, another woman made her bottom lip move really fast and an older man sang “Gig a Buga.” I know they might not sound like much, but they sure are funny. Check them out in the video below.
Ellen: Speak the Lyric Prank
I’m pretty sure Ellen is going to make Amy continue her Speak the Lyric prank until people start catching on and figure out who Amy is working for, but until then, this is one segment that will always put a smile on your face.
In today’s Speak the Lyric prank, Amy headed to a Lowe’s where she only talked to people using lyrics from Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together.” You can watch the Amy prank some unsuspecting customers in the video below.
