Ellen: Kansas City Royals Fans Get Surprise

It has been 29 years since the Kansas City Royals have been to a World Series, so there’s a lot of fans who want to win. Ellen received a letter from a viewer named Maggie that thinks her mom and her aunt deserve to go. Her mom Carla and her identical twin Marla are huge fans of the Royals and they never miss the Royals play. Carla is a hardworking person. She has six kids and took any job she could to support them. She even went back to school to be a nurse. They’re such huge fans that Carla stood up her husband on their first date 29 years ago to go see the Royals play in the World Series.

Ellen sent Jeannie and a crew to Maggie’s house in Missouri to surprise them. While Ellen called and pretended to be their internet service provider while Jeannie sneaked up to the house. But somehow they figured out that Jeannie was coming and that Ellen was on the phone. Carla and Marla were completely shocked that there was a camera crew outside.

Carla showed Ellen a poster they made with Ellen’s face on the Royals symbol. Ellen told them they were going to the World Series and they all screamed in excitement. When she told them they were going to go on the field for batting practice and meet some of the players, they were completely shocked. Ellen said they were also giving them $1,000 for spending money.

Ellen also made them a sign that says “Ellen Sent Me to the World Series”.

Ellen: The Mattress Firm

Then it was time for the series finale of Ellen’s crime drama The Mattress Firm. Ellen said this was nothing like the series finale of Cheers or Breaking Bad, but it was still an ending.

This episode featured Sean Hayes, who was on earlier in the show. In The Mattress Firm, Ellen is a detective. Sean was a client. He said he saw something that “tickled his pickles.” He saw his wife sleeping in another man’s bed. Ellen said he shouldn’t worry, because she was going to crack this nut. Then she cracked a nut.

Ellen wondered if the mattress his wife was on looked comfortable. He said it did. Ellen pulled a mattress out of the wall and asked him if it looked like that one. He said it did. It turns out his wife wasn’t sleeping with someone else after all. She was just trying to get a good night’s sleep!

This episode ended with Sean Hayes saying he felt like he was falling in love with Ellen.

Then Ellen revealed that everyone in the audience was getting a $1,000 Sealy Posturepedic mattress.
