Today is the big day and a lot of people are waiting in long lines for tickets to Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2. And it’s election day.
Ellen said she made sure she got up early today so she could get to the voting booths first. That made it easier for her to hide behind things and scare people coming in to vote.
She said no matter how the election turns out, half of the people in America are going to be happy while the other half are going to be disappointed. She said it is going to be kind of like how people felt when it was announced there would be a second season of Honey Boo Boo. Fifty percent of people were excited and 50 percent of people couldn’t believe it.
Ellen: 2012 Election Platform
Ellen said she never thought she would be so excited to see Jamie Lee Curtis talking about Activia again, but anything beats having to watch one more election ad.
And she said she hopes they fix this healthcare problem soon. Last time Ellen went to the doctor’s office she picked up a Time Magazine and found out she was gay.
But the biggest problem of all she wants fixed when the president is decided is figuring out how to stop the DVR from cutting off a show one minute before it finishes.
But most importantly, everyone in America is entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of dancing.
Ellen: I Voted Sticker
Ellen had to cut her dancing short because she forgot to grab her “I voted” sticker. Good thing the election booth was so close to the studio. It only took her a minute to run out and grab the sticker before she ran back on set.
Ellen: Classic Joke Tuesday
Why did the man go out with the prune? Because he couldn’t find a date.
And that is why she is an award-winning comedian.
Ellen: Ten Year Anniversary
Tomorrow will mark the 10 year anniversary of Ellen. Ellen said tomorrow she is going to be showing some of her favorite moments from the past 10 years and one she couldn’t wait to share was a reenactment she did in 2004. In the first two seasons of the show, Ellen would do reenactments of letters and funny photos she would get from viewers. Well she found one of her favorites and showed the audience today.
She acted out a picture sent to her of a child who had taken their school picture and it turned out pretty crazy looking. Her hair was a mess, apparently because the little girl had gym right before the picture was taken.
I wish Ellen would bring back the reenactments. How about you?
I just love your classic Joke Tuesdays. I repeat them to my teenagers and they go hysterical especially my 17yr old grandson. He now calls me from Georgia and ask me to tell him a joke. Thanks Ellen my kids and grand kids will now always remember me as Grandma Got Jokes!!!
