Ellen said it was so hot outside, instead of selling her Ellen water for $2 in the studio, they were selling two bottles for $4. Ellen said it’s so hot outside, you should go see a movie to enjoy the air conditioning. Ellen reminded us that she’s been in a few movies over the years, including Coneheads and Goodbye, Lover. Then she starred in what she called a “critical darling” Mr. Wrong. “One thumb up can’t be wrong,” she said.

But what people don’t know is that she’s also been in some very big blockbuster movies, but her scenes get cut for time. She showed some of her favorite moments throughout the years.

Ellen: Blockbuster Movie Gags

Some of the scenes they showed was Ellen in the infamous Jack-drawing-Rose scene from Titanic. Right as Rose gave Jack a dime for his drawing services, Ellen came in and apologized for being late. Then she dropped her painting gear when Rose disrobed.

Then there was Breaking Dawn Part II, where Ellen was having a bubble bath in the room when Bella told Edward about being pregnant. She was also one of the Death-Eaters in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, eating a salad and then throwing food at Voldemort. She gave Margaret Thatcher some lines to say in response to a rude Parliament member in The Iron Lady. Finally, she played a window cleaner when Tom Cruise climbed a skyscraper in Mission Impossible.

Then Ellen wanted to make sure everyone was able to see the blockbusters she was cut out of, so she gave everyone in her audience a 2 year subscription to Netflix.

Then it was on to Classic Joke Wednesday, where Ellen gave a joke: what do lawyers wear to court? You ready? They wear lawsuits.

Ellen: Insect Expert

Ellen invited a very dubious insect expert to come onto her show. The expert said that there’s a new insect species that lives in a cave in Brazil. The male insect has female reproductive organs and the female has male reproductive organs. He then went on to explain the way they mate in a very bizarre way. At which point Ellen asked him if he was a real scientist and where he went to school. Then the man took off and ran out of the studio.

Ellen: Favorite Giveaways

Ellen shared her favorite giveaways through Shutterfly. One giveaway was to a waitress who paid for some servicewomen’s dinner, who Ellen gave $10,000 to. Then Ellen gave two principals of elementary schools that were destroyed in a tornado. They got $100,000 for their schools each. There was also a break dancer with leg crutches, a single mom who goes to a food bank regularly, a pianist, and a woman who pulled a man twice her size out of a burning truck. There was also the little boy Tayt, who was born with only half a heart. It was a really touching segment. Check it all out below:

 

Ellen: Complete The Beat

Ellen had some extra time at the end of her show, so she played a game of Complete The Beat. It’s a game where the audience guesses the song people are dancing to just by the way they’re dancing. The first person was an older woman doing a robot. The song options were “Applause” or “DJ Got Us Falling In Love.” The audience guessed “Applause,” which was right. Then there was a really crazy guy doing an Irish jig on the stairs. The options were “Stronger” or “Toxic.” The answer endedu p being “Stronger.” Check it out below:
