Ellen TV: Bars In Department Stores
Ellen DeGeneres asked her audience how many of them like to go shopping, and then asked how many of them like to drink. Of course, her audience cheered like crazy. She explained that now you can do both at the same time because stores like Nordstrom and Brooks Brothers are putting bars in the middle of their stores. “What took so long for that to happen?” Ellen joked.
Ellen also joked that some stores are taking it too far, because last week she went shopping and there were half-naked women standing at the door who immediately offered her a shot. “I was like ‘this is crazy!’ And they were like ‘this is Hooters!'” She joked. She mistakenly thought it was a “cute owl store.” Very funny Ellen!

She said she thought maybe it wasn’t such a good idea, because some people may be trying on bathing suits, but after a few shots of tequila wouldn’t really know what they look like anymore!
Ellen: Stressful Shopping
She explained that shopping can be stressful though, especially when you have to request a size up from the lady helping in the store. Plus, you have to find the good mirror and then you’re left wondering why the clothes looked so much better on the mannequin. As Ellen said, it’s because their arms don’t bend so they can’t shovel Cinnabons into their mouths. Good point!
Ellen TV: Why Drunk Shopping Is Bad
Ellen said there are more reasons why drunk shopping is bad. She asked her audience how many of them had made good decision while drunk. She said when you get drunk you end up texting your ex or cutting your own bangs. Sometimes you “end up with those things that are permanent. A baby.”
She shared that one time she got drunk and went to CostCo and bought a pillow that she thought was the most comfortable thing she had ever put her head on. “It was a snow tire,” she joked.
But there is one thing that drunk people consistently like to do, and that’s dance!
