Ellen: Tim McGraw “Keep On Truckin'” Performance
After the craziness of pop superstar Sia’s performance on Ellen recently, it was really refreshing to hear and see a nice, classic performance on Ellen. Country icon Tim McGraw brought that to Ellen’s stage with his song “Keep On Truckin'”, a down home country song that has very few bells or frills. No creepy dancing children here. Just Tim McGraw performing his song with a full band behind him, rocking his cowboy hat.

I kind of wish Tim McGraw would get back to making songs like “Something Like That.” “Keep On Truckin'” might be a good song for cruising around the back roads of Georgia, but it doesn’t exactly scream mass appeal. The good thing about “Something Like That” was that everyone could relate to it. Getting a barbecue stain on a white t-shirt is something that’s happened to all of us. I’ve never skipped rocks on a river by the railroad tracks, but it’s that kind of cool detail that makes “Something Like That” great. “Keep On Truckin'” is a song with a message about carrying on despite adversity. This is not a new message in music on the radio. Still, Tim McGraw has a charm that makes him fun to watch when he performs.

When Tim McGraw came out onto Ellen’s stage for his interview, the camera panned across the audience, where one woman shouted “Yes!” when she saw him. All the ladies went crazy. Women love Tim McGraw, there’s no two ways about it. Ellen said that Tim McGraw looks great. She said he must work out all the time. Tim McGraw said he’s been working out a lot to get ready for the tour. He said it’s a lot of work being out there every night for two hours and fifteen minutes.

Tim McGraw and his wife Faith Hill just finished a run in Vegas. Tim McGraw said he didn’t think they’d do that again anytime soon. He said they might do it again someday or have a tour together.

Ellen said that there’s a rumor that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are thinking about having another child. Tim McGraw laughed it off. “Are you kidding me? No way. Uh-huh. I love kids, but I don’t want anymore,” he said.

Ellen said they’re looking for a new Ellen Underwear model and every time she sees a picture of Tim McGraw, he’s wearing the underwear. Ellen showed several different pictures, including one where Tim McGraw was working out wearing an Ellen shirt.
Ellen got Tim McGraw some weights with her picture on them and Tim McGraw gave her a gift, which was a T-shirt for his song “Keep On Truckin'”.
