Ellen: What Did Nicki Minaj Do For Her Birthday?
Nicki Minaj came by Ellen to talk about her new album The Pink Print. She had a recent birthday, so Ellen asked her what she did. Nicki Minaj said she had a party the day after her birthday and the day of her birthday, she did some things she can’t talk about. She explained she just needed what she did, but didn’t explain what she did or why she did it. It’s a mystery!

Ellen TV: Nicki Minaj More Calm
Ellen said Nicki Minaj seems more and more calm and confident lately. Nicki said when she put out her album, she felt like she’d given birth. She was under a lot of stress to get the music right and now that it’s out, she felt very relaxed and she’s really proud of the music. Ellen said she thought it was a good thing.

Ellen asked Nicki Minaj how much more of her writing is influenced and inspired by Ellen. Nicki Minaj said it’s very influenced by her. When she wrote “Bed of Lies,” she thought about all the times Ellen told her to come on the show and that the whole show would be dedicated to her. But then when she arrives, there’s other guests on the show.
Ellen said if Nicki Minaj wanted a whole hour, she could do that for her. They both said people like them together.

“I think if I’m around you enough, I’m gonna end up dressing more like you, looking more like you,” Ellen said.
Nicki Minaj recently made the GQ Year of the Hotness list and Ellen wanted to be a part of that list, too. Nicki said she thought Ellen must’ve been a part of that list at some point. Ellen said she hadn’t, but she was trying everything she could to look more like Nicki Minaj.
“It’s a secret,” Nicki Minaj said.
“It’s a secret? All right. Because literally I’m doing everything I possibly can,” Ellen joked.

Nicki Minaj was recently on Saturday Night Live and did impressions of Beyonce and Kim Kardashian. Nicki said she hadn’t heard from either one of them, but she loved them both and her impressions were done from a place of love.

Ellen said there seems to be a lot of songs about relationships on Nicki’s new album. Nicki said she’s really happy and that’s what it’s all about. She said it was very therapeutic to write her album and it helped her grow as a human being.
Ellen: Nicki Minaj Gift Prank
Ellen said she was glad Nicki Minaj was feeling peaceful and that she had a gift for her. But this turned out to be one of Ellen’s classic pranks. A man was hiding in the end table and he jumped out and scared Nicki Minaj. Nicki screamed for like 30 seconds.
“I hate you so much. I could’ve broken my neck. Who is that man?” Nicki Minaj said.
After the break, Nicki wondered where she comes up with stuff like that. Ellen said that we should keep playing when we’re grownups. Ellen said this is season 12, but on season 15 they’re going to play Hide and Seek the entire hour.

Nicki Minaj’s new album The Pink Print is out December 16, 2014 and she said she wanted Ellen to listen to her songs “Grand Piano” and “The Night is Still Young,” because she thought Ellen would enjoy those.
Ellen: Nicki Minaj $500 Million
Nicki Minaj said that she won’t take a break until she makes $500 million. Unless she wants a family, in which case she’ll take a break then. She said she really wants a “cute little fat baby.”
“What if it’s not fat?” Ellen asked.
“Then I don’t want it,” Nicki joked.
“All right. I’ll take it. Give it to me if you don’t want it,” Ellen said.

Nicki Minaj has a limited edition version of Myx called Moscato that’s in honor of The Pink Print.
“It’s a new flavor that I put together just for amazing people,” Nicki Minaj joked.
