Ellen: Matthew McConaughey Interstellar Review
Matthew McConaughey said Interstellar is a movie experience like no other. He said it’s hard to talk about without giving away spoilers. The movie is about a father who gets the chance to save mankind, but he has to say goodbye to his family in order to do it. So at its heart, it’s a parent-child love story. But it’s also about space exploration, wormholes, relativity, and time.
Ellen TV: Matthew McConaughey Lincoln Commerical
Ellen talked about Matthew McConaughey’s Lincoln commercial, which is being talked about and parodied in many different places, inclluding on a recent episode of Saturday Night Live. Ellen wondered if there was a script. Matthew McConaughey said they talked about the concept of it before they did it and they gave him a script, but they played around with it. Mainly, though, that was the script.
Ellen decided to put herself into the commercial. In her version, she’s in the backseat while Matthew McConaughey stares at the bull. Ellen suggested to Matthew McConaughey in the commercial that they ask the bull to “mooove” and if the bull doesn’t like it, why doesn’t he use his horn? Ellen also wondered what he was doing with his fingers and if he’d like a Wet One.
At the end of the video, Ellen wondered why they were listening to the weird guitar music and decided to switch the radio to “Turn Down for What” instead.
After they showed the video, Matthew McConaughey said he intentionally left short pauses in the commercial, which left plenty of room for Ellen to say what she did. Interstellar is in theaters now.
