Ellen: Katie Lowes Dressed as the Tooth Fairy

Katie Lowes came by Ellen to talk about Scandal. Because this was Ellen’s special Halloween episode, she came dressed as the Tooth Fairy. For some reason, Ellen accidentally introduced her as “Katie Holmes” even though she knows that’s not her name. Katie Lowes very graciously forgave her and told her the names sound similar. Ellen said she felt really bad about it.

Katie Lowes said she was the Tooth Fairy because Halloween last year was when she filmed the scene in Scandal where her teeth are pulled out by Guillermo Diaz’s character. She spent 14 and a half hours in a duct tape bra getting her teeth pulled out on the floor. So the Tooth Fairy was sort of an homage to that day.

Ellen TV: Katie Lowes Karaoke Machine

Ellen gave Katie Lowes a karaoke machine the last time she was on the show and Ellen wondered how it was doing. Katie said she and her husband Adam overused it and broke it. Katie said she was happy it broke because Adam would use it at all hours of the day to sing embarrassing, hard ballads. Katie said the karaoke machine is just sitting in their living room.

Ellen said she would buy her another one as an apology for introducing her as Katie Holmes. Katie Lowes said that wasn’t necessary and she was just happy to be there.

Ellen: Katie Lowes On Portia de Rossi Being on Scandal

Katie Lowes said Ellen’s wife Portia de Rossi is very nice and kind and pretty in person. She couldn’t reveal whether her character and Portia de Rossi’s character meet, but she said she’s very talented.

Katie said her husband Adam was excited to meet Ellen because Ellen is now part of the “Scandal Wives Club”. They do brunch on Sundays.

Katie Lowes said she hates to watch scary movies, but she has appeared in several scary movies. She said one movie she did early in her career called Bear where she ran around being attacked by a man in a bear costume.

Ellen: Katie Lowes Prank

Katie Lowes said she’s seen every one of Ellen’s Halloween episodes and she was really scared Ellen was going to try to scare her. She kept looking around and she was able to see a man in a bear costume trying to sneak up on her. She said she was very happy she beat Ellen.

But then a man jumped out of the end table next to their chairs. Katie Lowes was very scared. The man turned out to be Guillermo Diaz, Katie Lowes’s Scandal costar. She said he was a good liar because all week she would tell him she was nervous about being scared and he didn’t say anything.

Ellen TV: Katie Lowes & Guillermo Diaz Go to a Haunted House

Ellen showed a video of Katie Lowes and Guillermo Diaz going to the American Werewolf in London haunted house at Universal Studios. The video was hilarious!

Katie and Guillermo swore and jumped a lot in the course of the haunted house. Katie said at one point she would never watch this movie. At one point the two of them got very mad because they turned a corner and it looked like a train was headed straight for them.

After they showed the clip, Katie said she would only do that for Ellen because it was way too scary.

Scandal airs Thursday nights on ABC.
