Ellen: Jack Black “Ghost Ghirls” + Breast Cancer Research Splash Tank

Ellen: Jack Black Loves to Dance

Ellen sat down with Jack Black, perhaps best known for his roles in Tropic Thunder and Kung Fu Panda to talk about his love for dancing, his adorable sons, and his new Yahoo series Ghost Ghirls.

Jack Black strutted out wearing a tie-dye shirt and blue-jeans in typical Jack Black style. He busted out a few dance moves before sitting down next to Ellen.

Ellen said she saw him at a party where he did a lot dancing. It was a part after the Oscars and Jack Black said everyone was dancing their butts off. He said when it comes to dancing, initially he is a little nervous, but then he lets loose. He said he just needs to be comfortable where people don’t mind seeing him sweat, because “that’s what’s going to happen”. “I only have one gear,” he said. “and that’s all the way.”

Jack Black shared that he has two boys ages 5 and 7, who share his love for dancing. He shared a story of when they recently when camping and at the end of the trip, all of their families from their school held a talent show. He said his boys wanted to dance to “Gangnam Style.”

He said his youngest boy was nervous and was chewing on a glow-stick until he chewed right through it. He got glow juice all over his mouth and even threw up a little bit. He said a parent who’s a paramedic said he needed to take him to the doctor because there’s fiberglass the glow juice. He said he ran as fast as he could to the car and even though his son could have possibly had fiber glass in his mouth, he still couldn’t run the whole way so he power-walked the rest of the way.

He said by the time he got the car and pulled it up to where his kids were, they were on stage dancing “because they know the show must go on.”

Ellen: Jack Black “Ghost Ghirls”

Ellen then asked Jack Black about his Yahoo series Ghost Ghirls. He said the main thing is the two main actresses who play ghost hunters. He said the series is “super funny”.

He also encouraged Ellen’s audience to go to the series website, ghostghirls.com, but said to be sure to include the “H” in Ghirls or you’ll end up on the wrong website.

He said he’s never actually seen a ghost, but would love to see one, second to wanting to see a flying saucer. He said his wife swears she saw and he believes her. He also said he isn’t afraid of ghosts, but is afraid of creatures. He shared the story of how there was once a raccoon in his house. “It turns out they’re fierce beasts that can eat your face off,” he said.

Ellen: Jack Black Afraid of Raccoons

So naturally, upon hearing that Hack Black was afraid of raccoons, Ellen had one of her crew members dress up as one and scare him. He was absolutely terrified. “I haven’t been so scared in quite some time,” he said.

I have to admit, before watching him on the show, I wasn’t much of a fan, but Jack Black is so naturally funny that he literally had me laughing out loud.

Ellen: Jack Black Splash Tank For Breast Cancer Research

Jack Black agreed to get into the splash tank to raise money for breast cancer. Shemar Moore was the one taking aim. Ellen said each balloon is worth $1,000 and he had 10 chances to hit the center. If he hit the center balloon, Jack Black gets splashed and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation automatically gets $10,000. With 24 seconds left, Shemar hit the center balloon and Jack Black got splashed.
