Ellen’s Fans Wrapped Like Gifts
Ellen played a game with her fans. Earlier that day, she sent out a tweet asking her followers in Texas to show up the University of North Texas dressed as presents. Jeannie was on the ground in Texas and Ellen’s viewers loyally showed up wearing boxes and wrapped up like gifts. Texas must really love Ellen, because the crowd was huge. There was about 2,500 people there.

Ellen sent them all on a challenge. JCPenney has something called the Jingle Brigade this year. They’re giving back by surprising unsuspecting customers with shopping sprees and other fun things.
JCPenney helped Ellen in this challenge. They put out five gift boxes hidden throughout the campus of the University of North Texas. The gift boxes ranged from $250 to $5,000. Ellen asked the crowd to go find those boxes. The crazily dressed crowd raced to try to find them.
Ellen’s Fans Dressed As Gifts Game
Later in the show, Ellen returned to the people in the race to see who found the boxes. Jeannie was with the winners who found the boxes, who were all dressed bizarrely like gifts. The first man, who matched his red shorts with the gift-wrapped box around his shoulders and torso, shouted that he loved Ellen as he discovered he’d won $700.
The next two people were wearing one box and they won $250. They were very excited. Next, there was Melissa, who just taped wrapping paper and tinsel to herself without trying very hard. She won $1,000.
The next person was a mother with an adorable boy. Her name was Brooke and her son was named Gavin.Brooke wore a big box and her son carried a sign that simply said “Ellen.” She won the $5,000. She was very excited! The last person, who just wore a cardboard box unwrapped around her waist, won $500.
