Dr. Phil: Accurate Depictions Of Each Other
Dr. Phil has been sitting down with a couple with a 26-year age difference who can’t stop fighting. 24-year-old Ashley and 50-year-old Dean have both been sent to jail for domestic violence and their three-year-old daughter is caught in the middle.
Now, Dr. Phil reveals what he thinks about the whole thing. He said he thinks the two of them have been accurately depicting the other without seeing themselves clearly. He said he thought Ashley was explosive, immature, has anxiety and depression issues, and serious problems with her emotions. He also said he thought she had been through a tough life which prevented her from maturing the way other people might. He also said that it’s not too late for her to grow up and become a responsible young woman, but she can’t do that with this volatile relationship with Dean and without professional help.
Dr. Phil: Super-Creep Goes To Rehab
Dean asked Dr. Phil earlier if he was expecting too much for her not to be volatile and to be a responsible mother. Dr. Phil said that he’s not expecting too much, but Ashley has been damaged emotionally.
“But she’s damaged. She’s been damaged along the way in her life which is what made her vulnerable to you getting infiltrated into her life, which to me, is kind of creepy,” Dr. Phil said.
Finally, Dr. Phil is calling him out on his creepiness. I’ve been waiting for that. I told you Dean is a super-creep. Dr. Phil said Dean needs to get some help with his alcoholism, because it’s making him reason in ways that are different than the way he normally handles his life. Dr. Phil said that this is his gift to him, because his children deserve better.
Dr. Phil: Recovering From A Bad Life
Dr. Phil said that Ashley needed a variety of help and he wanted to give her that help. He invited Miles Adcox to come on the show, the CEO and co-owner of Onsite, the worldwide leader of personal growth workshops. Dr. Phil hoped that Ashley could address her core issues to eliminate her dysfunctional patterns. It begins with an intensive in-patient workshop, which Ashley said she definitely needed. Dr. Phil agreed and told her she had to be selfish to improve herself.
