For the last four years, 25-year-old Jaimee’s kids have been raised by her mother Allison after Jaimee gave them up. Jaimee was addicted to drugs and working the streets at the time, but now she says she’s clean of her past life and wants her kids back. Is it a good idea? Is she ready? Dr. Phil weighs in.

Jaimee gave up her kids four years ago because of her life of drugs and working the streets. Does she deserve to be a mother again, even if she’s clean now? Her mother Allison doesn’t think so. In fact, Allison doesn’t even believe Jaimee is done with that life. Allison says Jaimee is still in contact with people she worked with on the streets, including one she worked for. What does Allison say about this? Is she really still in contact with those people?

Can Dr. Phil foster a peaceful resolution here between Jaimee and Allison?

A question that you can likely expect to come up on the broadcast is what kind of mother Allison is. After all, Jaimee is her child and Jaimee is the one who worked the streets and got addicted to drugs. Did all of this begin while she was in Allison’s care as a teen? Does Allison have a shady past? Usually, there’s a twist somewhere on a Dr. Phil episode and that’s what I’m betting the twist is. If Allison didn’t parent very well the first time around, should she really be given Jaimee’s kids?
