Dr. Phil: Lie Detector
Dr. Phil has been sitting down with a husband and wife who have conflicting allegations. Is she a compulsive liar who abuses him regularly? Does he abuse her and have a horrible temper?
Ron, the husband, said that if Dr. Phil really wanted the truth, they should let him do a lie detector. He said he’s not changing his story at all and he doesn’t want “that look” from Dr. Phil.

“You’re looking for the person telling the truth. You’re staring at him. She’s lying. I’m abused and telling the truth,” he said.
Dr. Phil: Is He A Rage-a-holic?
Marie’s aunt Robin says that Ron is a rage-a-holic and that he has attacked Marie. She said on some occasions, he’s even threatened her. Robin claims Ron told her that he now knows why O.J. Simpson killed the people he did.
“I believe he has real rage issues and that he was threatening my life,” she said.
Ron denies ever saying the thing about O.J. Simpson.
Dr. Phil: Is She Lying?
Dr. Phil also talked to Ron’s neighbor Scott, a private investigator who said that the innocent one in this situation is Ron. Scott said that his family moved in next door to Ron and Marie a year ago. He said that his daughter and Ron and Marie’s daughter are friends.
Being a private investigator, he was able to check out backgrounds. He said Ron has never lied to him, he’s always been forthcoming with his past. Marie, he said, would get angry two or three things a week. He also said that one time, he heard “ridiculous, foul language” coming from the background. Marie was on the phone screaming at someone.
Scott said that Marie’s accusations of Ron wanting to murder her are “ridiculous.”
Dr. Phil: Arguing In Front Of Their Daughter
Marie filmed a conversation with their daughter where the daughter wondered why her daddy didn’t like her mommy. But when Marie asked if she knew that daddy loved her, she said yes. Dr. Phil said shame on both of them for letting it get to that point.
Dr. Phil: Is She Abusing Her Prescription Drugs And Alcohol?
Ron claims that Marie takes a combination of her prescribed medications, Klonopin and Celexa, and then she drinks whiskey. Dr. Phil used the Doctor On Demand app, which lets you communicate with a doctor instantly on your smartphone, to find out what the doctor had to say about this combination and whether it’s dangerous.
Dr. Ian Tong said that her medications have a depressing effect on the central nervous system, which slows down her heart rate and respiratory rate. The addition of alcohol causes those effects to be enhanced, which means she runs the risk of losing consciousness. It could even result in death.
