Dr. Phil: Taking Responsibility For Your Actions And Attitude
A new book that Dr. Phil wrote, named Life Code, says that winners deal with the truth, and Dr. Phil wanted to start to figure out whether or not if, truthfully, this marriage between Jesse and Mary could be saved. They hate who they become when they are with one another, and don’t want that to be the case anymore.
Their problem? They don’t know how to approach any argument in an adult manner, and many disagreements soon turn into petty name calling—all in front of their children, who are probably picking up a lot of one-syllable words to take to school with them.
Dr. Phil Does Not Think Jesse Is A Good Father
Jesse, having watched Dr. Phil’s show before, said that he came to the show begrudgingly, but thinks that he needs the help. He tries to be the bigger person, but he loses control when she starts to insult him. Though Jesse thinks himself to be a good father, Dr. Phil challenged that idea by saying that a good father does not yell and fight and scream at his wife in front of his children. The children don’t really care or know about why the fights are going on. They aren’t old enough to understand that. All they know is that they do it, and that can be damaging enough.
Dr. Phil: Mary Lies About Her…Race? Dishonesty In Marriage
Mary feels that she, too, can be a respectable person…except when she is fighting with Jesse, which drags her into the trap of name calling and the like. She is also no Honest Abe, either. Apparently, Jesse was under the impression that she was younger than him when they went on a blind date (where all fairy-tale marriages are forged), but later found out that she was actually quite a bit older than him, eight years older by Bobby’s approximations.
He also claims that Mary did not fill him in on the fact that she had three children before they met. Heck, Jesse even got her to admit she lied about her…nationality? Dr. Phil’s next book? Dishonesty in Marriage. I can already hear the endorsements on upcoming episodes.
Half expecting to hear about how one of them claimed to be a secret agent for the Soviet Union (their lies would of course be slipshod enough to disregard the fall of it), Dr. Phil wanted to get down into the reasons why Mary’s pregnancy caused her to endure the worst of Jesse’s abuse.
