Dr Phil: Infidelity Websites
Dr Phil met the man behind Ashley Madison, a dating website for people cheating on their spouses. He also talked with a woman who said she enjoys the honesty she finds in sleeping with married men. But not everyone is for this type of arrangement.
Dr Phil: Ashley Madison Vs Cheaterville
A man who thinks that Ashley Madison destroys relationships has started a competing website, Cheaterville, to expose the people who engage in affairs.
According to James McGiney, Ashley Madison is no different than the world’s oldest profession. In the studio, James came face to face with Noel Biderman. He said that the site is free for women, but men pay up to $200 per year to use the website.
Dr Phil: Discreet Affairs?
James said that if he was having an issue with his wife and their relationship, he could use the cheating website to have a discreet affair. He said that is a flawed plan that most people would never put up with, and he thinks the entire premise is stupid.
But Noel had a different take. He blamed Cheaterville for outing those who are cheating on their spouses, which can ruin countless relationships based on possibly unverified information.
Dr Phil: Cheaterville Review
Cheaterville allows spurned spouses to share photos and stories of their partners’ infidelity to warn others about future relationships. James said his site proves that women are smarter and more thorough than men.
Women tend to share documentation, including emails and videos documenting cheating, which can help others avoid running afoul of cheaters on the dating scene.
Dr Phil: Cheating Website Reviews
Dr Phil said that First Amendment protection is important in our American society. He said that both websites should be allowed to exist, and there should be open debate about topics such as infidelity.
“You make your own choices, and when you choose a behavior, you choose the consequences,” Dr Phil said. He said that fighting in front of children sets a bad example that can change their entire lives.
“Infidelity affects more than just your mate,” he said as a final word of advice.
