Dr Phil: $1 Million Custody Battle

Dr Phil looked inside the relationship of Jim and Pam, a divorced couple with shady pasts and a $1 Million Custody Battle over their nine-year-old.

Jim and Pam were once married, but it’s not quite positive it it was a happy time. They were married twice. The first time, Jim went behind Pam’s back and got the marriage annulled. When she found out, they got into a huge fight. He ended up beating her when she was three months pregnant with their daughter.

Pam believes that Jim is manipulative and never really loved her. She said that he married her the second time so that he could get custody of their daughter. Ever since their second divorce, Jim and Pam have shared 50/50 custody of their daughter. She is now nine years old and the custody battle has been going on for seven years.

Dr Phil: Court-Ordered Therapy

When they went to court, a therapist examined Jim. They recommended that he get psychotherapy. Pam said that her daughter is terrified to go to her dad’s house. She has texted and called Pam, begging to come home. Jim took his daughter’s cell phone away when she told her mother that Jim called her a “f***ing kid.” She’s afraid of the guns in Jim’s home and Jim said he sleeps with a gun under his pillow.

Jim has been ordered to go to therapy by the court. He refuses to go and doesn’t let Pam talk to her daughter on weekends. The daughter has told the courts that she is afraid of her dad has asked the judge, “please, don’t tell me dad. He will kill me.”

Pam even heard that Jim told his sister he is planning to kill Pam.

Dr Phil: Jim Calls Ex-Wife Crazy

“Pam is the queen of manipulators,” said Jim. He believes that she is thriving on the drama of their custody battle and the court system.

Jim has been accused by Pam of being a drug dealer from Columbia and an alcoholic. He said that Pam is the one with DUI’s on her record. She’s also accused him of abusing their daughter, along with his girlfriend and mother. Jim said he hates to leave his daughter with Pam because he may never see her again.

According to Jim, Pam has accused everyone under the sun of being abusive. This includes her pediatrician. Jim tried to file Child Protective Services reports, but was told there was nothing they could do about the situation with Pam. He believes that their daughter is controlled by her mother and is really afraid of her.
