Dr. Phil: Ray Rice Abuse Scandal
Everyone seems to have an opinion on the Ray Rice scandal. Shocking video was released of a February incident showing Rice pulling his unconscious girlfriend out of an elevator, after apparently knocking her out. Rice was arrested and charged with assault. Unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock, you know the story from there: he was suspended from two games and his charges were dropped after he agreed to court-supervised counseling. Rice later married his girlfriend.
But on September 8, 2014, TMZ released additional footage showing Rice actually punching Palmer. As a result, the Baltimore Ravens terminated his contract and Rice was suspended from the NFL indefinitely. There’s a lot of different opinions about this issue and unless you’ve also been avoiding social media, you’re probably aware of them.
