On March 26 2013, Dr Phil talks to April, a woman who posted pictures of her bruised and beaten body on social media. She publicly accused her ex-boyfriend of beating her with a baseball bat. Her mother lends her opinion about her daughter and her fears for April. Will April be getting back together with him when he is released from jail?

On March 26 2013, Dr Phil talks to April about her abusive boyfriend, Austin. Then, George talks about how his wife tried to have him killed.
Then, Dr Phil speaks with George, whose ex-wife, Dorothy, plotted to have him killed. His wife pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and is serving five years in prison. After George tells his side, Dorothy speaks out from behind bars.
Dr Phil: April’s Abusive Boyfriend
April, 23, sent social media buzzing when she posted pictures of her beaten face and neck brace. Her boyfriend, Austin, denies the claims but is serving time for assault. Despite all of the pain and turmoil, April said she still loves Austin and hopes to be with him when he gets out.
April’s mom, Joyce, is afraid of her taking him back when he is released. She believes that this could have deadly consequences for April. Dr Phil talks to them about the assault, Austin and the hold he has on April. He hopes to give her to courage to move on.
Dr Phil: George & Dorothy
Also on this episode, George tells Dr Phil why his wife tried to have him killed. Dorothy pleaded guilty and is serving five years in prison. He says he’s insulted that his wife only paid $2,000 to have him killed.
Then, Dorothy speaks out in an interview behind bars. She tells Dr Phil she was framed and explains an incriminating audio recording.
