Dr Phil: Child Star Scam
Parents will do anything to get their kids a great life. Jessica says money is no object when it comes to making her kids stars. She knows that her daughter was put on Earth to entertain and make people smile.
She signed her kids Caleb and Cailey up for acting school that promised classes and photographs for life. She thought that this was a great deal for $3,000. When they went back for the classes, the acting school was gone. The desks and workers were replaced by an empty warehouse.

Dr Phil worries that Jessica might be getting scammed again. She’s already dropped $20,000 on her daughter’s acting career, but they’ve had no success.
Dr Phil: Jessica & Steve In Debt
Jessica doesn’t bat an eye at spending thousands on Cailey’s career. She enters her in pageants and employs pageant coaches and professional hair and makeup artists. The problem is that Jessica and her husband Steve are $100,000 in debt. She has maxed out three credit cards and they owe the IRS $25,000. They have car loans and, on top of it all, Cailey’s acting and modeling fees. They’ve lost cars, TV and other possessions because they can’t afford to pay bills.
Dr Phil: Kid’s Acting Convention
Jessica said that she knows the acting industry, but Dr Phil doubts that. Steve thinks that the agents are just talking her up and scamming her. Jessica has put in $500 to hold a place at an acting convention. Dr Phil and Steve think Jessica may have been scammed again.
The agency claims a 100 percent success rate for placing kids in the acting industry. This is a red flag for Dr Phil. He doesn’t think that this is a legit organization or a smart use of Jessica’s money. It’s $6,000 to take Cailey to the convention. Her agent promised placement, so Jessica wants Dr Phil’s professional opinion about whether they should spend the money.
