Dr Oz: One Week Slim Down Plan
If you’re just a week or so away from a special event and still find yourself trying to squeeze into that fabulous dress you picked out, Dr Oz was excited to share that he had some tips and tricks for “slimming down so you can zip up.” One woman shared that she has a big event coming up and has a specific dress that she really wants to wear. She’d already lost 138 pounds but said she needed to lose 25 more pounds to fit into the gorgeous dress. Dr Oz said the only way she could lose 25 pounds in a week was through amputation!
He said you can actually squeeze into something you wouldn’t normally be able to after doing things the right way for a week, but it’s more about losing inches than it is about the pounds.
Dr Oz: Trim Your Midsection
The woman said she considered liquid diets, knowing that they would help her drop pounds quickly, but Dr Oz said the issue with those is that they tend to leave you malnourished. She said some of her friends have suggested water pills as well, which can be incredibly dangerous. Dr Oz said that he could get her to lose inches in just a few days, by doing it the right way.
If your midsection tends to be your problem area, there are three things you can do. First is losing water weight, second is dealing with the bloat, and this is tackling constipation issues.
Dr Oz: Soluble Vs Insoluble Fiber
Dr Oz began by suggesting that she make a smoothie using papaya and pineapple because they stimulate digestion, and help move things through. He suggested she follow the Total 10 Rapid Weight Loss Plan and include those fruits in her smoothies.
To keep trips to the bathroom as regular as they should be, fiber is important. There are two kinds of fiber, however: soluble and insoluble fiber. Insoluble fiber pulls water with it and makes you go to the bathroom. Blackberries, blueberries, beets, and greens like spinach, will all help make you feel better.
